Regime relating to the entry into Serbia & Montenegro during the tourist season

The validity period of the issuance of the Tourist Passes on the border crossings of the Republic of Serbia during the Tourist season.

Nationals of certain countries who are otherwise required to obtain a visa for entering into Republic of Serbia will be able to enter the country without a visa.

They will be issued tourist passes at the Republic of Serbia border crossings. Tourist passes will be issued to foreign nationals who are holders of passports of the following countries:

EU member countries (FR of Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Austria), Switzerland, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia and Republic of Korea. Tourist passes are issued for a period of up to 30 days. The fee charged for the issuance of a tourist pass is 320 dinars (aprox. 5 EUR).

On the basis of the decision of the Government of the Republic of Montenegro dated January 30, 2003 (the Official Gazette of Serbia and Montenegro, No. 8, February 14, 2003), at the territory of the Republic of Montenegro, the nationals of: Iceland, Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Monaco, Malta, Liechtenstein, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, San Marino, Vatican, Andorra, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel and Republic of Korea, are not required to obtain a visa for entering the Republic of Montenegro for the purpose of a tourist visit, after being provided with the tourist passes valid up to 30 days.

The nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Macedonia will also be issued the tourist passes with a valid identity card.

The issuing of tourist passes is not charged at the border crossings of the Republic of Montenegro.

Tourist passes are issued to persons whose final destination is Serbia and Montenegro and whose purpose of travel is of a tourist character.

The regime of crossing Serbia and Montenegro border without visa requirement is also applicable to visits of tourist groups to Serbia and Montenegro handled by tour operators, in which case the tour operators are required to obtain tourist passes at the border.
